Research Overview

mbnu Research Overview

In general, we combine experiments, theory, and modeling to explore the dynamics and properties of flows involving nano- or micro-structures (i.e., DNA, surfactants, lipid vesicles, or bacteria, cells) in many biophysical and technological processes. Within this broad area, we have two core areas in the unit: one focuses on the fundamental aspects of micro- and nanofluidic flows (e.g., fluid mechancis, soft matter physics, rheology); another focuses on biotechnology, nanotechnology and healthcare applications related to micro- and nanofluidic flows (e.g., bioassays, biosensing, bio and nanomaterials synthesis).
