We are pleased to announce “Fireside Chat Career Talk with Professor Hirokazu Shirado”, TSVP Visiting Scholar.  Please join us for a career discussion with Professor Hirokazu Shirado, School of Computer, Carnegie Mellon University, USA. In a casual setting, he will be sharing his experiences in academia in Japan and the US, industry in Japan, and exploring STEM and social science fields. It will be a great opportunity to learn insights of academia hiring process, building a strong CV, academia vs industry, differences in Japan and the US for academia/industry, career paths within academia, etc. He is open to any questions you may have and happy to discuss topics you are interested in. Join Us for a Unique Soy Sauce Workshop and Discover the Art of Soy Sauce Making!  We are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive workshop hosted by Mr. Kajita, CEO of Kajita Shoten, a 150-year-old soy sauce brewery in Ehime Prefecture. Kajita Shoten is one of the very few soy sauce breweries in Japan that handles every step of the production process, from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, entirely in-house.

SHIMA is an annual science educational outreach program to educate high school students in Okinawa on the sustainability of island ecosystems and cultures.

SHIMAは、沖縄県内の高校生を対象に、島の生態系や文化の持続可能性について学ぶ、毎年開催している科学教育アウトリーチプログラムです。

A pattern is a design with shapes or lines that repeat again and again. In this class we will be using watercolor paints to create a background and then using pens to draw interesting patterns on top. The class will be taught in English.
