Professor Keshav M. Dani elected 2025 Optica Fellow

On January 25, Professor Keshav M. Dani was elected Optica Fellow for 2025. Optica is one of the world's leading societies in the field of optics and photonics, and this year 121 people from 27 countries were elected as Fellows of the Society. As less than 10% of all members are selected, it is a great honor to become a Fellow of the Society.
Optica points to his research on time-resolved imaging, in real- and momentum-space, of defects in perovskite photovoltaic materials and excitons in two-dimensional semiconductors as the reason for his selection.
He joins Professor Síle Nic Chormaic (Light-Matter Interactions for Quantum Technologies Unit), who was awarded the same fellowship in 2021.
Professor Dani established the Femtosecond Spectroscopy Unit at OIST in 2011 and has received numerous prestigious awards, including the 2023 JSPS Prize.
