A research technician position is available for optoelectronic instrument development in the Micro/Bio/Nanofluidics Unit at OIST in Okinawa, Japan (https://www.oist.jp/research/research-units/mbnu). The successful candidate will join a very active interdisciplinary group in biosensing and biotechnology, with emphasis on developing LSPR biosensing devices. The position is initially for one year and can be extended to 1 more year based on performance and mutual agreement. The position will start as early as November 1, 2018.
Key Requirements
Candidates should have a M.S or B.S degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, biomedical electronics, biomedical optoelectronics, or a related discipline.
Prior experiences required:
- Development of Graphics User Interface
- Integration of wireless transmission and microcontroller for measurement and display
- Development of mobile phone application (Android/iOS)
- Packaging and distributing software for client use
- Website development
