Mariko Hasegawa is a zoologist and anthropologist who studies behavioral ecology, evolutionary psychology, and physical anthropology. Hasegawa served as President of the Graduate University for Advanced Studies in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan until 2023. Now she is President of the Art Council of Japan which plays a vital role in promoting traditional arts and culture in Japan.
