OIST Robot Experience Beach Clean-up

A special outreach event was held on Iheya Island on Mar 15.

On March 15, 2025, a special outreach event was held on Iheya Island, supported by funding from COI-NEXT.
The program aimed to engage the local community with cutting-edge robotics research from OIST.

The first half of the event took place in a seminar room, where participants were introduced to the AI beach-cleaning robot and other innovative robot platforms developed at OIST. In the second half, attendees moved to the beach for a live robot demonstration followed by a hands-on beach cleanup activity.
