Enactment of the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology School Corporation Act

Following the approval by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of the establishment of Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) both as the School Corporation and the OIST Graduate University, the Japanese Government led

OIST participated in the 2013 American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts from February 14-18.

An urgent general meeting of the Okinawan People’s Council for the Promotion of the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) took place on May 8, 2009 in Naha in light of the delay in parliamentary enactment of the School Corporation of Okinawa Institute of the Science and Technology Act (hereafter the OIST Act).

Over the last weeks, there has been a steady stream of visitors to the OIST campus.
