Reasonable Accommodation

As it is held in OIST core value (PRP 1.3), OIST respects diversity. OIST pursues the institute model that no one gets restrictions on any opportunities because of their physical or mental difficulties, health conditions, or any other reasons. In case there is difficulty in study, research, or school life because of them, OIST can consider Reasonable Accommodations for improvement.

What is the Reasonable Accommodation?

"Reasonable Accommodation" will be assessed and adjusted on a case-by-case basis. This Accommodation aims to provide equal opportunity and does not guarantee results or achievements. Accommodation that is not appropriate to provide as an educational institution will not be included, such as changes or adjustments of essential matters of each class/course, unlikely to be realized, require significant budget, significant disadvantage to other people, do not reflect the student's requests, etc.
