The Okinawa Job Museum 2011 took place at the Okinawa Convention Center in Ginowan City on July 12.

On July 9th, Okinawa Prefectural Assembly members, Okinawa City Goya Community Association members, and Okinawa Shogaku High School students visited OIST for a tour of campus facilities.

On June 29, three young students from Jr. High Schools in Onna village, Asato Shinjo from Onna Jr. High School, Hayato Adam Cooper from Nakadomari Jr. High School, and Minami Matsuo from Yamada Jr.

Tucked away beneath the administrative offices and meeting rooms of the Center Building is a tank of over 540,000 liters of water. Every night, two huge “super-coolers” freeze this water, producing a block of ice weighing over 180 tons – more than a fully-grown blue whale.
