SEED program: Hyogo Prefectural Akashikita senior High School visited OIST

Students presented their research activities to OIST PhD students in a poster session and received feedback in English. After the session, Tomoya Noma of Nucleic Acid Chemistry and Engineering Unit gave a talk about what led him to scientific research and the research he is currently conducting, followed by a lab tour and hands-on activities.

 

On the second day, Angela Ares Pita introduced OIST Innovation and explained about "Proof of Concept Program," and Roger Huerlimann and Hitomi Shinzato talked about their ongoing projects.  Lastly, Roger Huerlimann led us on a tour of the labs of Marine Climate Change Unit and Marine Eco-Evo-Devo Unit.
