Recordings of activity hotspots in a single astrocyte when at rest and when running
The scientists found that specific locations within an astrocyte showed higher levels of activity. The hotspot map changed depending on the behavior of the mouse, for example, resting or running, during the recording. This video appeared in the press release, "Stargazing in the brain: “Star-like” cells display unique activity patterns".
