Simulation of the Ukidama Structure Formation
The silver (blue) attached on to the copper (red) and begins to spread out around the copper. However, it becomes clear as the silver spreads that there are four quadrants in the “corners” of the copper structure where the silver does not go and creates a new structure. This new structure resembles the Japanese glass fishing floats called ukidama, hence the designation ukidama structure.
