Title

Dynamics of spin nematics in a magnetic field: A comparison with canted antiferromagnets

Abstract

The NMR relaxation rate is one of the promising probes for detecting spin-nematic states. In one-dimensional spin-nematic Tomonaga-Luttinger liquids, the temperature dependence of the relaxation shows a slow decay compared with the conventional one-dimensional antiferromagnets [1]. However, in the case of three-dimensional spin-nematic ordered phases, different methods show different results [2,3], and the understanding still needs to be settled. We have reanalyzed the dynamical quantities of the spin-nematic phase using the interacting boson theory to resolve this confusion. In a supplement to a previous paper [4], we obtained, using boson theory, the dynamical quantities of the spin-gap phase close to the spin-nematic phase. Extending this method, we newly studied dynamical quantities inside the spin-nematic phase by considering boson interactions and bi-magnon condensation.
