Join us for a discussion with Dr. Jessica Schneider, Chief Scientific Officer of Corundum Systems Biology as she shares insights from her nearly two decades of experience in microbiome research and therapeutic development. This seminar will explore the journey of translating biomedical discoveries from the lab to the clinic, with a focus on strategic technology development for clinical trials. Learn how to navigate partnerships across academia, startups, and big pharma to drive innovation and bring groundbreaking therapies to patients.

SPEAKER

Jessica Schneider, Ph.D., MPH
Chief Scientific Officer, Cordundum Systems Biology


Dr. Schneider has almost 20 years of experience as a bacterial geneticist and microbiome researcher. Prior to joining Corundum Systems Biology as Chief Scientific Officer, she managed investments in novel therapeutic modality platforms at Takeda Ventures. She also served as Director of Takeda Pharmaceuticals’ Gastroenterology Drug Discovery Unit where she helped build the microbiome therapeutics portfolio spanning discovery to Phase 2. Prior to Takeda, Dr. Schneider was Senior Scientist at Vedanta Biosciences where she was instrumental in building the company’s live biotherapeutics products (LBP) platform, and VE303, currently in Phase 3 trials for recurrent Clostridium difficile infection. Dr. Schneider received her PhD in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis from Cornell University and was a recipient of the Center for Translational Research Project Award at The Rockefeller University as a postdoctoral fellow where she studied small molecules made by the human gastrointestinal microbiome.
