TSVP Seminar: "Future directions in topological recursion" by Kento Osuga
Description
TSVP Seminar: "Future directions in topological recursion"
Speaker: Kento Osuga
Abstract: Topological recursion is a universal recursive formalism that connects many branches in mathematical physics, such as enumerative geometry, algebraic geometry, integrable hierarchy, matrix models, and more. In the first half of this talk, I will give a brief review of topological recursion and present a simple example from which we learn how topological recursion works. Then in the second half, I will present a few future directions in topological recursion which will lead us to interactive open discussions.
This seminar is a part of the first TSVP Thematic Program "Exact Asymptotics: From Fluid Dynamics to Quantum Geometry" (https://groups.oist.jp/tsvp/exact-asymptotics). OIST students and researchers are welcome to participate in all scientific sessions of the program without registration.
List and profiles of program participants can be found here: https://groups.oist.jp/tsvp/23ea-program-participants
From September 5th TSVP is hosting the accompanying symposium "Frontiers in Nonlinear Differential Equations and Stokes Phenomena" (https://groups.oist.jp/tsvp/event/nonlinear-differential-equations-and-stokes-phenomenon). That also welcomes OIST students and researchers to participate in all scientific sessions without registration.
