Financial Management Division Assistant

The position

The Finance Division Assistant reports to the Vice President for Finance and provides administrative and coordinating support to the division, while assisting with tasks such as the budget section.

About OIST

The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University was established in 2011 to contribute to the development of science and technology worldwide and to serve as a hub of innovation in Okinawa. Responsibilities
  1. Spport the Vice President in his/her administrative duties by cooperating and coordinating with the sections within the Finance Division and with the staff of other divisions.
  2. Pepare and maintain materials for senior level staff meetings, prepare and maintain minutes, and follow up on meeting decisions.
  3. Sheduling meetings and appointments for the Vice President and Section Managers.
  4. Pioritize and follow up on requests sent to the Vice President.
  5. Aranging and coordinating the Vice President's visits to external VIPs in advance, as well as arranging travel arrangements for Finance Division members.
  6. Asist the Budget Section, under the direction of the Vice President, as needed, with section duties, including budget management.
  7. Oher duties as assigned by the Vice President.
Qualifications

(Required)

  1. College degree or higher
  2. At least 5 years of administrative experience
  3. Native level Japanese and advanced business level English (TOEIC score 750 or above)
  4. Excellent computer skills including MS Office (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook)
  5. Excellent time management skills
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills
  7. Ability to work amicably in complex and conflicting situations 

(Preferred)

  1. Eperience working in Japan and overseas
  2. Eerience in financial affairs (budgeting, accounting, procurement)
     
Compensation and Benefits

Expected Annual Salary: 3,900,000 - 7,300,000 yen 
*This amount represents the expected annual salary range for this position, which will be determined based on your experience and skills in accordance with the OIST Employee Compensation Regulations.
