Molecular structure of Zeolite 5A

Zeolite 5A acts as a molecular sieve, allowing molecules of oxygen to pass through the pores, while nitrogen molecules stick to the structure.
Zeolite 5A acts as a molecular sieve, allowing molecules of oxygen to pass through the pores, while nitrogen molecules stick to the structure. Zeolite 5A and a similar molecule, Zeolite 13X were used by Professor Mahesh Bandi of the Nonlinear and Non-equilibrium Physics Unit to create a device that can produce concentrated medical-grade oxygen.
