Hiroyuki Fujita
After studying at Waseda University, Dr. Fujita moved to the United States in 1988, where he received his B.A. in Mathematics and Physics from Monmouth College and his Ph.D. in Physics from Case Western Reserve University. In 2006, he founded Quality Electrodynamics, LLC (QED), a medical device development and manufacturing company in Ohio, USA, which focuses on the creation of MRI technology. As the company’s founder, president, and CEO, he has long been involved in the development of these cutting-edge technologies. In 2019, QED joined Canon Inc., and Dr. Fujita is CTO of CT-MR Division, Canon Medical Systems Corporation, Tochigi, Japan. 2022, Dr. Fujita was named Chairman of Canon Healthcare USA, Inc. He is also a full adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University in the Department of Physics and Radiology.
