Postdoctoral Scholars in Cryptography
The Applied Cryptography Unit is currently seeking outstanding post-doctoral researchers to work in the following topics:
- post-quantum / quantum cryptography (design and analysis)
- quantum cryptanalysis
- post-quantum cryptographic techniques for privacy-preserving mechanisms
The successful candidates will have excellent post-graduate academic formation in cryptography, mathematics, computer science, or a closely related field, with research experience in one of the topics above.
Starting date: as early as possible.

PhD Programme / Research Internship
Students interested in doing their PhDs at the Applied Cryptography Unit are encouraged to formally apply to OIST's fully-funded PhD programme, as described here.
(note that all processing and admission is carried out centrally; the Unit does receive PhD applications directly.)
OIST also carries out a very popular and succesful research internship programme, aimed at bachelor/master's students or recent graduates interested in joining OIST as a research intern; see here.
