Unperturbed mouse ridge walk test
By swinging their tails synchronously with their hind-paws, the mice can better maintain their balance when moving over narrow ridges. In the most challenging conditions, they also keep their tails low, supplementing the active use with a passive use as a counterweight. Credit: Lacava et al.
