Exhibition @ OIST: Coral Colors by Sputniko!

Digital multimedia artist Sputniko! displayed "Coral Colors" in OIST's Tunnel Gallery from November to January 2024.
In "Coral Colors," spectators are invited to confront the ongoing reality of coral bleaching and to spark an awareness of environmental issues. Here, Sputniko explores her inspiration and collaboration with OIST scientists to create this timely display of her artwork.

Higher Order Mode Video

This video shows a polystyrene particle propelled along a microfiber by light, first in the fundamental mode, then in a higher order mode. It is easy to see how much faster the particle zips along in the higher order mode.
