Amin Chabchoub

Associate Professor and PI of the Marine Physics and Engineering Unit. Amin CHABCHOUB received his PhD from Hamburg University of Technology and holds an honorary professorial appointment at the University of Melbourne. He was Assistant Professor of Hydrodynamics at Aalto University, Associate Professor in Environmental Fluid Mechanics at the University of Sydney, and Associate Professor (Hakubi Fellowship) at Kyoto University. Prior to these faculty roles, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Imperial College London, Swinburne University of Technology, and the University of Tokyo. His areas of expertise and research interests include extreme events, nonlinear dynamics, time-series analysis, ocean engineering, and physical oceanography.
