OIST Graduate University FY2012 Annual Report

OIST is at the forefront of creating change in how research and education are practiced. In 2012, we accepted our first class of 34 graduate students and became a fully operational graduate university. We also succeeded in completing the set-up of facilities for the university's innovative, cross-disciplinary research. This report summarizes research activities and administrative operations from April 2012 through March 2013, a year of success and excitement. After many years of preparation, what was once a vision for change in science education and research is becoming a reality.
